Following the slightly OTT article in the Times on Tuesday (which, God help us, used the term 'singing in the Valleys'), we now have a story on today's BBC that a village in Cheshire wants to become Welsh.
Is this because of our economy, our culture, our sport or just the simple fact that we are a fantastic nation?
Er, no.
The villagers of Audlem only want to become Welsh to get access to benefits such as free hospital parking and prescriptions.
You couldn't make it up, could you?
