Report by Bloomberg News stating that EDF, the French power company, has been buying up land around Wylfa in preparation for the construction of the second nuclear power station. This follows interest by a US-Japanese company in operating any second nuclear power station on the Island.

I think I'm right in saying that at present the WAG doesn't have power to block an application for a new nuclear construction in Wales. They could however elevate the issue to a major polical row. If they did that they would be doing a disservice to the people in Angelsey, and to the future economic prospects of people in Wales - currently with the lowest Value Added in the UK.
