Excellent New Blog

An excellent new blog has appeared and I am sorry I have been too busy to point it out earlier.

Welsh Political History "dissects some of the claims about historical events made in the media and by politicians and bloggers and tries to work out if the conclusion put upon them can really be supported".

You won't always agree with the conclusions - I certainly don't agree with the recent economy argument - but it is well worth a read.

Wouldn't worry about it Adam. It truly amazes me the anonymous poison that is out in the welsh blogosphere at times, especially by those who claim to want a unified welsh nation - hardly the way to go about it.

at least we know that Welsh Political History is Labour blog, just like his party in Cardiff Bay unable to deal with economic reality on the ground but then again why should be surprised, people carry on voting for Labour come what may even when they are being sacked by the thousand because they are so fearful of any alteratives say a lot about the welsh voting public.

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE CREATIVE CLASSES

One of my favourite academic books of the last two decades must be the “Rise of the Creative Classes” by Professor Richard Florida.  This was one of the first detailed studies of the growing group of individuals who use their creativity and mental labour to earn a living and not only included those in arts and entertainment, but also people working in science and technology as well as knowledge-based professions such as healthcare, law, business, and finance.  Fast forward to 2022 and Professor Florida has written an updated report on the creative classes although he and his team now identify a different type of individual who is taking full advantage of the growth in digital platforms, social media, and online marketplaces.  Such ‘creators’ are defined as those who use digital technology to make and publish unique creative content, whether in the form of video, film, art, music, design, text, games, or any other media that audiences can access and respond to.  They ...

Whilst we often consider entrepreneurship to be associated predominantly with new start-ups, larger firms - in order to compete effectively in fast-changing global markets - are adopting more innovative and enterprising approaches to management within their organisations.
