Smeargate continues

Another Sunday, another set of damaging revelations.

After a week when the Labour Party tried its best to contain the problems emanating from the 'resignation' of Damian McBride, it would seem that the whole edifice of this once great party is falling apart.

A week is certainly a long time in politics.

The G20 meeting, which was to be used to relaunch Brown's flagging ratings, has been forgotten and this week's budget is unlikely to bring cheer to the majority of the general public.

Oh, and a new poll shows that the Conservatives are heading for a 120 seat majority

They are going downhill fast. One of the Labour Government’s greatest disasters has to be the subject of my latest book (Dirty Politics) and that is the 2-week waste collection farce. This unhygienic and unworkable fiasco has inflamed thousands of families across the UK. If the Government get their own way this is to possibly increase to monthly collections. With the UK’s rat population already booming since they instigated the 2-week scheme – can you imagine the chaos in a hot summer? More rats, mice, flies, maggots and stink. No wonder Number 10 recently banned my e-petition, twice, which asked for a fair reduction in council tax to compensate us for the extra trips they are forcing us to make to tips.

Madness – utter madness. What are we paying them for?
